Mark your calendars for the following events. Most of these events will be held at Four-Eyed Frog Books behind the Clocktower in Cypress Village. You can find more details in the ICO as the events draw near. Or listen to the TIDE 100.5 on your FM dial Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:15AM and Sunday at 4PM.
• 11AM every Wednesday during the summer @ Four-Eyed Frog Books
STORY TIME WITH LINDA
Children of all ages (but particularly 1st grade and younger) are invited to share in our weekly Story Time this Wednesday from 11 to 11:45AM. Here's an opportunity for children to interact with each other and with the stories Linda reads. Juice and treats are available on request.
• 6PM Friday, July 14th: Japanese Dinner @ Gualala Arts Center
($25/person, reservations required)
On July 14 at 6:00 p.m. the Culinary Arts Guild will be presenting a Japanese Dinner for those lucky enough to make reservations by July 6 ($25/person). The menu is still being discussed, but the Guild has a long running record of giving "wow" dinners, so we're sure this will be memorable.
• 3PM Sunday, July 16th: Japanese Tea Ceremony @ Gualala Arts Center ($10/person)
A Japanese Tea Ceremony, by Eiko Mouri will be conducted on Sunday, July 16 at 3:00 p.m. at Gualala Arts Center ($10/person). This should be a beautiful ceremony as Eiko Mouri will be in full Japanese attire. For both the dinner and the Tea Ceremony, Yasuko, located in Healdsburg will be showing her beautiful clothing, which will also be for sale. Four-Eyed Frog Books will have a variety of books for sale reflecting the Japanese arts and culture.

LINDSEY SMITH, author of Hailing the Taxi Hopefully
Lindsey, who was named California's High School Poet Laureate of 2005, just graduated from Pacific Community Charter School in Point Arena and will be attending Stanford this Fall. We're encouraging our entire community to come out and support this amazingly talented young poet who has her career mapped out: she will write, live in Italy, and be happy! Lindsey will join us on our little radio spot next Monday, July 17, so be sure to tune in: 8:15AM on the Tide, KTDE 100.5FM.

ANNA LAPPE´, coauthor of GRUB: ideas for an urban organic kitchen.
Anna Lappé, nationally recognized author, public speaker, and cofounder of the Small Planet Institute and Small Planet Fund, shares thoughts and passages from her newest book, GRUB: ideas for an urban organic kitchen. In the words of Fast Food Nation author, Eric Schlosser, The authors [of GRUB ] don't browbeat you into politically correct dining. They just want you to know what's wrong with our current food system and how easily it can be made right. Anna, who dedicates this book to her late father, Marc, lives in Brooklyn.
